last day of 2013

today is the last day of 2013.

last yr baby n my family attended my cousin Jeremy's wedding on this day. 

this yr spend half a day at work and then lunch at mum's place. 

tonight my baby dear is gonna cook dinner for the family! looking forward! always love his aglio oglio fusilli! whenever he does the cooking, I would feel v loved! 

anyway, it's gonna be a round up of the yr and welcoming of the new yr.

2013 has been a yr of ups n downs...

work: 

first try of floating taking lower pri and I thought it was really tiring then 2nd SEM was changed back again to am session taking p3&6. love my p3s and I'm gonna miss them loads! 

family:

bro went to Australia Tasmania for his law degree (his dream) in feb. admire his courage to pursue his dreams but at the same time worried for his r/s with little rui bin as the little boy is still too young.. 

 

my eldest paternal uncle, da Bo, passed on peacefully on the 2nd day of cny in 2013. whole family was grieving over his departure but at the same time it brought us all closer! 

maternal cousins were still as close! we had our BBQ n chalet just last weekend and much laughter n joy we shared! :)

friendship:

hong n lian were both attached happily now and lian is getting married nxt may! looking forward! super envy hong for being able to go US for a super long vacation over dec, celebrating Xmas n new yr there! 

sec sch fren yimei had a baby boy this June and was happy to be able to meet her n see baby Xavier! mixin got married this nov! was glad I attended her wedding! blissful marriage to the couple! siman is attached now too and I'm happy that she's happily attached! 

kasoshe- always meeting up for bdays and Xmas! love the Xmas gathering we had! treasure this friendship we forged and am glad they were my sisters! :)) always rmb is chatting abt our future, Eg. getting married then giving birth and etc.. now it's gradually happening to each of us... looking forward to seeing each one of us happily married n forming our own family! 

KESS- su san and da jie both gotten their new home and da ge as usual v carefree life! da jie's elyse is getting cuter by the days and she look v much like Eugene! su san's finally gonna get married nxt may! can't wait to attend her wedding!

sandra gave birth to baby zenith and little caydence is such a cutie! du tao is busy as usual as a KP in his sch... KL honey I still meet her often and am so looking forward to hearing good bb news from her! xiao bai dear went thru a lot this yr... hope everything will be good for her nxt yr! :) 

personal:

as for myself, 2013 went bkk in March and also south korea/jeju in June. both free n easy and am missing overseas trip!!! 

been trying to conceive since dec2012 and am glad we finally see our light when I tested positive in June just b4 our trip to Korea! super happy and looking forward to baby's arrival in feb 2014!

our long awaited flat is finally done and we collected our keys in sept! renovation going on now after we fixed on our ID! can't wait for it to be ready! ;)

2014 is gonna be an exciting year! hope it will be fruitful and fulfilling! :)

小宝贝 at 32nd week

and so it's now fortnightly visit to Dr. Choo's clinic. 

the usual scans and 3D pics of the little miracle inside me is what I always look forward to at every visit..

very very happy to know our little darling is now 2.3kg and is growing very well! 

mummy have been eating quite a lot! oops! and also I think holidays helped as my whole lifestyle is so much carefree now! 

But my pelvic pubic bone hurts a lot recently and Dr. choo says it's due to the heavy weight and also the widening of my hips n pelvic bones. omg, the pain sometimes becomes unbearable! hope the support belt will work. ;(

anyway my little darling loves to put his hand on his face while sleeping. always capture him doing that! haha:) so who do u think he looks like? I think he look more like daddy! :( hmmmph!!! 

well 8 or less weeks to go! jia you! looking forward to seeing my little darling in feb!

darling baby weighs 1.7kg now 

strong heartbeat and he is super active..

recently my pelvic areas becomes v painful and aches as if I've ran a marathon... sometimes makes me looks as if I'm a penguin walking...

doc says it's due to broadening of my pelvic area and also cos baby is heavier now it adds pressure to my lower part of body if I walk or stand too much! 

glucose level seems not too positive at this visit, was told to watch it.. so better not drink sweetened drinks le! bleah! 

ok so nxt visit is 2weeks later. 

gastric flu 18/11

terrible gastric flu on Monday 18/11

vomited everything I ate.

went doc and was given anti nauseous jab-maxxlo to curb the nauseous ness 

given probiotics too.. 

drank a cup of honey and then went to bed with painful gastric pain. 

woke up feeling hungry on Tuesday and ate bread with holicks. 

thought would be better but I threw up again with my lunch. 

went to Dr. Choo to be safe. 

Dr. Choo suggested admission for drip upon hearing but we thought maybe can have other alternative, so dr gave gastric pain medication and also say if vomiting persist the have to admit for drip le.. 

was hoping everything goes well cos I'm feeling nauseous again w/o medication.. and it's not good! :((

weight dropped by 3~kg and luckily baby is still growing well to 1kg le.. amniotic fluid also ok... phew. baby still kicking n trying to grab whatever he touches when we do ultra sound.. heartbeat also good..

hope I can recover fast.. it's been too torturous. 

25th week

and so darling baby is now past 25weeks .

baby weigh 920g

and today finally baby show us his cute Face! 

mummy is starting to feel his weight, his kicks and the waking up in the night is starting again! 

but still seeing him all active and we'll makes me all so happy! :))

this is his first 3D facial pic! and doc says usually their nose look big! so don't worry... and that at his nose is the umbilical cord but looks like his finger pricking nose right? so cute!

so looking forward to seeing u in feb our cutie pie! muacks! 

7th visit to Dr Choo

so it's the scheduled 5th month detailed scan day on 10th oct! 

off we went to dr choo's clinic for the scan. but our boy is not cooperative enough. he was faing inwards and refused to let dr choo see his face. 

however we managed to see that his heart and kidneys were well developed and overall looks good and healthy. 

darling boy now weigh abt 400g and is 16.3cm long. he is gonna put on weight n grow taller rapidly from now on! so for his growth sake I must drink more milk n try to eat those disgusting supplements! 

can't wait to see him again in nov. :)

official home owners

so 26/9/2013 a happy day as it

marks the day we finally become official home owners! 

a place we call our home! 

on that note: we are also official a loan slave to HDB for 10yrs! today we wiped out our CPF too! 

6th visit to Dr Choo

so after 3 weeks finally get to visit gynae again and each visit was v much anticipated as we are always v looking forward to seeing darling baby. 

so went down as usual n waited long too as appt is on a sat. 

finally when it's our turn, I wanted to see baby soon. but to my disappointment, our naughty little one decide to face inward and then refuse to turn ard. we couldn't see baby's face at all... can only see baby's spine n his butt!!! hmmm no manners leh! 

 

luckily at least one thing to feel relieved is that my placenta has shifted up n is attached to the top now! great! thks baby for helping mummy push it up!!! 

a worrying visit to dr. Choo's clinic

and so on 26/8 night I went toilet as usual and suddenly when I wipe myself I was shocked to see blood smeared onto the toilet paper. my first thought was "oh shit! oh NO!" 

then I threw the paper into the toilet bowl and immediately grab another piece and repeat the wipe hoping to see it clean but it was still brownish. 

I came out of the toilet with a heavy heart. walked almost v slowly outta the kitchen n signaled to hubby to follow me to the room so that my mil will not hear it.

after telling hubby, his reaction was "I'm sure it's gonna be ok. don't worry!" and he started google-ing and continue to assure me that many ppl get this spotting during pregnancy and it's so common. he continue to assure but I just couldn't stop thinking abt the worst case scenario. 

I lay down on bed and try to sleep but couldn't and started tearing.. hubby continue to assure me to no avail. and subsequent visit to toilet was also wiped with brownish discharge. 

after all I managed to sleep n woke up on 27/8 and went for my morning pee n wash up. this time the wipe was clean, I felt relieved n went to work as usual to avoid questioning from in laws. 

but when in sch, after 2 periods of invigilation, (it's prelims n CA2) I went toilet n sigh the spotting came back again.

I know I need to go to my gynae to get assurance b4 I can get my mind n heart back to normal. 

called hubby and got clearance from bosses and off I went to Dr. Choo's clinic.

it's only then when I saw my darling baby again and hearing the strong heartbeat b4 I can listen to any explanation from my gynae. 

Dr. Choo says my placenta from the ultra sound scan seem to look slightly low lying. but they shouldn't be a prob once baby grow bigger n push the uterus up n wider. (I really hope so)

dr choo did a vaginal check and mention that there's no infection and probably te discharge could be some blood clots from previous periods or a minor placenta abruption due to excessive walking. 

I am thus given 4 days MC to rest at home and shd minimize walking. given some tablets to stabilise my pregnancy too. 

felt really relieved when I leave the room with dr. Choo's assurance and after seeing my active baby is all well. 

and also today Dr. Choo managed to see baby's gender as baby is in good position. so Dr saw baby's genitals and confirmed baby's a BOY. 

well boy boy means no more pressure from in laws. but I have always wanted a daughter. so next one maybe?

anyway, baby boy u must stay strong n healthy k... 

as always daddy n mummy love u! 

4th visit to dr Choo's clinic

been a good 2 weeks since the last visit and I am super excited for this visit as we are doing a detailed scan for darling baby and we will also get to know what's the risk of darling baby getting Down's syndrome. 

dr Choo started by analysing my blood tests results and it shows everything were doing good and then we proceed with ultrasound scan. 

darling baby is super active, but is sitting vertically upright and we can't see the gender yet. darling baby is also much bigger than previous! and is trying to suck the thumb after waving to us! so so amazing! 

and after all the scans, Dr choo cfm that darling baby is growing v well and has very low risk of getting Down's syndrome ! phew!!!! relieved and super happy and looking forward to seeing darling again!

anyway, it's been nauseous as always but everything is worth it! ;))

3rd gynae visit to see darling baby!

hello darling baby... your kick and punching hands really made our day at the 3rd visit! dr choo says you are at 11wks so we needed to wait to check ur neck fluid for Down's syndrome later on. 

and so 2 wks later we shall see u again! 

the first 2 trips to gynae

daddy and mummy search the Internet, read forums after forums, and finally decided on Gleneagles hospital to be the chosen hospital to deliver you.

after which we short listed Dr Choo wan ling to be mummy's gynae. 

during the first visit to the clinic, Dr Choo left us a v good impression. we felt v comfortable talking  to her and she is a very friendly and patient doctor. :))

first visit we confirm you were doing great in mummy's womb and was doing fine. Dr Choo confirmed that you are about 5weeks then.

during our 2nd visit to the clinic, Dr Choo further confirmed you are growing well and was about 8weeks young then. we heard your heartbeat for the 1st time! oooh how strong they were! u amazed us each time we see you! 

we are definitely looking forward to seeing you on our 3rd visit. 

jia you darling baby! although mummy had terrible morning sickness especially in the evening, but seeing u growing well everything is so worth it! :D

dear darling baby, u were tested positive on 14/6 and u were mummy n daddy's anniversary gift! :)

happy 1st wedding anniversary

it's been a year and its been great!

a great year living with my in laws and also adapting to life as husband and wife with my dearest baby!

I love every bit of my life now as his wife. waking up to his showers of love every morning and sleeping with his love acts like rubbing my head, massaging my aching legs...

baby thank u for the love you've been showering on me! I love u! muacks!

when I visit u, I couldn't help but tear.
I planted a kiss on ur forehead b4 we left on CNY eve and was relieved that u seemed to be better.

it was shocking to see u so frail again on CNY day 1.

on the morning of Day 2 when I know u've left us, I cried bitterly. it was though no surprise but I still find it so unacceptable.

da bo, your blessings and love shall stay with us forever!

a short 10months of fate we have.
my domestic helper from Myanmar May Thazin Aye.

I didn't get to send her off today at the air port. though I would love to but I think better not as I do not wanna cry.

not that she is absolutely a family to us but still I treat her like my sister. and I like her. guess my mum just cannot take her "slow" and "forgetful" character and they seemed to have more and more unhappiness thus the sending back.

well hope we can get to see each other again. farewell May and have a great future ahead!
