after knowing the clementi flat we applied
has low/NO chance,
i've been quite determined
to work out sums to purchase resale flat.
but upon receiving HDB letter informing us
abt the upcoming BTO projects
at dawson, bukitpanjang and Sembawang..
i was anticipating the dawson flat very much!!
ytd after gg school and was shopping around
LOT 1 for xmas pressies,
i received the HDB's sms abt the BTO released!!
got very excited,
went home n checked the website immediately.
very very happy to know tt the dawson's flat has got
over 1000 4-rm units this time round.
higher chance of getting an unit this time round.
but it has got several push factors to decide on:
1. the completion date is around mid2015 to early 2016.
(which means we need to stay with parents for at least 4 yrs
if we were to carry on with our plans of marrying in 2011.
which also mean our shu zhan-plans gotta have some changes.)
2. the cost of the flat. the 4 rm flat cost 373K-504K.
(for the similar BTO flat at BP oni cost 225K)
3. the area size of the flat. it is oni 83sqm for 4-rm.. pathetic!
(BP for lower cost is at least 93sqm)
the pull factors:
1. LOCATION! i absolutely love the location..
near town, near his parents, near mrt!! (major PULL factor)
(BP's super ulu ulu ulu..plus near expressway.. broooommmmm.....)
2. Value. becos of the location, the dawson flat is of gd value. even if next time we decides to change flat, im sure the flat's value is definitely good!
3. New 1st hand flat. better than resale in baby's terms.
(zy doesnt really like resale flat.. lol=P)
4. the design of the flat really attracts me so much!!! it has super high storey of 43floors.
(although cant fight pinnacle @ duxton)
5. more time to save money for the renovation and furnitures.
anyway weighing everything.
decided to apply first.
wait till feb2010 when the ballot queue comes
then we shall have further discussion.
since even if we were to carry on with resale plan,
it has gotta wait till mid 2010.
p.s: we've decided to have ROM on the same day as wedding.
thus no more ROM in 2010.
